Getting a wristband

You do not need to register for Gold Coast Schoolies and you do not need to register to obtain a wristband to access the Schoolies Hub on Surfers Paradise beach.

For up to date information on where and how to get a wristband follow SchooliesGC on Facebook.

Getting a wristband is easy, you only need a valid Australian Year 12 photo ID.

If your school ID does not include:

  • a photo - you will need to bring your drivers license or passport with you as well.
  • your year level - you will need to ask your school for a letter confirming that you are a Year 12 school leaver in 2017.  Make sure you bring both the letter and your school ID with you.

The Wristband Distribution Centre is located on the corner of Surfers Paradise Boulevard and Cypress Avenue. It will be open:

  • 11am to 8pm - Saturday 18 November 2017
  • 6pm to 8pm - Sunday 19 November to Friday 24 November 2017.

School-leavers MUST have a valid Year 12 ID to obtain the official Schoolies wristband for entry into the Schoolies Hub.

Entry to the Wristband Distribution Centre is restricted to current Year 12 school leavers only with acceptable ID. If you have no ID, you will not be permitted to enter the Wristband Distribution Centre.

It is important to remember that your accommodation booking is NOT related to official Schoolies activities coordinated by the government including the Schoolies Hub entertainment on Surfers Paradise beach. Dance party tickets purchased through your accommodation booking or other companies are not related to official Schoolies activities and do not give you access to the Schoolies Hub.
