The Queensland Government does not promote participation in Schoolies but seeks to enhance the safety and responsible behaviour of school leavers at Safer Schoolies locations.

One of the ways we do this is by preparing school leavers to safely navigate the risks that may arise during end-of-school celebrations through a Schoolies Information Sessions.

These sessions are presented by professionals who are experienced within the Schoolies environment. The session includes up-to-date information covering a varity of topics including:

  • Welfare, support and expectations
  • Alcohol, drugs and the law including alochol-related violence messages
  • Alcohol, drugs and your health
  • Sexual consent
  • Media and social media - how you can appear online
  • Balcony safety and accommodation tips

Sessions for 2018 will be offered to South East Queensland high schools via email to the Year 12 Coodinator by the end of Term 1. If you would like to change the contact person for your school, please email schoolies@communities.qld.gov.au

If your school is outside this boundary, an updated Teachers Powerpoint presentation and notes will be uploaded to this page by July 2018. Alternatively your local Queensland Police District Crime Prevention Officer or School-based Police Officer will be able to present this content on our behalf at a time convenient.

Should you require further details, please email schoolies@communities.qld.gov.au
