Yeppoon
Schoolies activities in Yeppoon will take place from Sunday, 22 November to Wednesday, 25 November 2009.
A variety of entertainment and safety responses will be provided at Yeppoon, including drug and alcohol-free dance parties and movie nights. Schoolies will also receive free breakfast and barbecues, free transportation, and other night time entertainment, including the Schoolies Nightclub.
Schoolies visiting Yeppoon must register to access the free activities. Registration costs $10 and will open at 11am on Sunday at the beachfront and take place each day in various locations and times.
Schoolies will be required to present their Year 12 student ID, complete a registration card and have their photo taken to receive a Schoolies ID card to access official Schoolies activities.
Police, emergency services, security and volunteers will maintain a strong presence providing schoolies with medical assistance and general support and advice. Extra community volunteers will also support schoolies at Yeppoon and will be highly visible. Look out for them in their brightly coloured T-shirts.
