Magnetic Island
Schoolies activities on Magnetic Island will take place between Saturday, 21 November and Friday, 27 November 2009.
A wide range of free entertainment and activities will be available, including ‘pancake pig-outs', beach activities, movie nights, DJ parties, dance parties and a pool party.
Evening activities will take place in the Recharge Zone at Alma Bay which will be supervised by police, volunteers and medical services. The Recharge Zone will provide a safe place to relax with other schoolies and to ask for information or advice.
Schoolies visiting Magnetic Island are required to register at Alma Bay to access the full range of free activities. Registration costs $20 and will take place in a clearly marked registration tent, where you will receive a wristband and event guide on presentation of photo ID.
Registration will ensure you can access the free activities on offer during the day and night, as well as free bus transportation to and from your accommodation.
Police, emergency services, security, and volunteer-run support agencies will maintain a highly visible presence on Magnetic Island, providing medical assistance and general support and advice.
