The Queensland Government is committed to providing a community safety response which encourages responsible behaviour by schoolies and minimises disruption to local businesses and residents.
Gold Coast community
Residents in Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach and Main Beach will receive a newsletter in the lead up to the response containing important information about the Gold Coast Schoolies Community Safety Response.
Due to the temporary population increase in central Surfers Paradise during Schoolies, road closures are needed to ensure the safety of all pedestrians. Additional road closures will be required for the set up and removal of site infrastructure. Other road closures may be required on advice from the Queensland Police Service.
